Posavačko dete: A Photographic Exploration of Tradition and Identity

As part of Connect/Reflect programs, aimed at linking various forms of activity in the fields of culture and contemporary art, as well as actively engaging citizens and the local community through both indirect and direct initiatives, the Striegl City Gallery presents a photography exhibition by Darko Ričko titled “Posavačko dete.”

“The exhibition ‘Posavačko dete’ was created as an initiative to encourage a renewed and positive reflection on the position and role of a long-standing citizens’ association dedicated primarily to preserving folklore expression and traditional culture.

Through photographs of ensemble members (from the youngest to the oldest), including portraits, group photographs, and images of various sections within the ensemble, we aimed to show how the FA Ivan Goran Kovačić has had a positive impact on quality of life, education, the fostering of inclusivity, and the acceptance of diversity among all its members.”
